To ensure maximum acceptance for your upgrade, please clean your validator thoroughly
(1) Power off the machine.
(2) Disconnect the logic board case from the side of the validator.
(3) Open OR remove the validator logic board to expose it.
(4) Carefully unplug the wire harnesses from the original logic board. Make sure to note where they go. The harnesses are keyed so that you have to force them into the wrong connector but it can be done.
(5)Replace the logic board with the new one.
(6) Plug in the wire harnesses into the new boa
Again, make sure the plugs match the connectors and do not force any that do not appear to fit. At the top of the board there are two 2-pin connectors. One is red and white, the other blue and white.
THE RED AND WHITE PLUG GOES TO THE TOP CONNECTOR!
Once this step is completed you will have no EXTRA plug hanging loose. All plugs will be in their connectors.
(7) Following the picture, replace the case around the logic board. This requires a few steps depending on the style of CoinCo you have.
(8) Once the case is closed and replaced to the sid
of the validator, re-connect the validator power harness to the validator logic board. Press firmly on the connector to ensure that it has seated properly all the way onto the board.
(9) Power up the machine. Ensure there are coins in the hopper and the machine is ready for use.
(10) Insert the white calibration paper into the validator as if it were a bill.
IF A REGULAR BILL IS PUT IN THE VALIDATOR FIRST THE NEW BOARD IS USELESS AND MUST SERVICED BY CHANGEMAKER CORP!
The validator will pull in the bill and spit it out. If it only pulls in the paper ¼” the validator did not need calibration. The LED on the back of the CoinCo will now show solid red and machine is now ready to use.
(11) The Color $5 upgrade process is complete!
NOTE: No validators or parts for this process can be covered under warranty if this process fails due to operator error the complete validator must be sent in for service and a $65 labor fee will be charged.
